The National testing agency (NTA) has published the exam pattern for the NEET exam for the current year 2023. The paper pattern of NEET 2023 will be same as the previous year. Competent authorities have released a detailed document pertaining to the conduct of the NEET UG 2023 exam.

NEET UG 2023 exam is scheduled to be conducted on 07 May’23, there will be a total of 720 Marks for this exam. The duration of this course would be  3 Hours 20 Minutes as specified in the NEET UG 2023 directive. Questions 1 to 35, 51 to 85,101 to 135 and  151 to 185 will be compulsory. The pattern of NEET UG 2023 would be such that students would be required to prepare Physics, Chemistry and  Biology of Class X and XII level. This exam would be MCQ based exam with negative marking. Candidates getting correct answers will score four marks and every wrong answer will attract one negative mark.

NEET UG 2023 exam would be an offline exam, with Optical Mark Recognition based corrections. The correct understanding the NEET UG 2023 exam paper pattern will help the candidates to get a fair idea of the type of questions that will appear in this exam. While attempting the question paper of NEET UG 2023 students have attempt question of four main subjects Physics, Botany, Chemistry and Zoology. Each subject would have two sections, Section A would have 35 questions and Section B would have 15 questions. Out of the 15 questions of Section B students are required to attempt only 10 questions. So the total number of questions in NEET UG 2023 would be 200 questions out of which only 180 questions are required to be attempted.

Instructions for Filling the OMR sheet

Students are required to fill the OMR sheet while attempting the answers of NEET UG 2023, please read the following instructions carefully before attempting the questions:

  • Only ball point pen has to be used while attempting the answers.
  • Ball point pens will be given by the authorities in the center. Students may not carry the same with them.
  • Students have to mark the test booklet code as an essential practice.
  • Rough work can be done in the space provided below the test booklet.
  • Once the answer has been attempted , it can’t be erased.
