3. Educational Qualification:
   • For B.E./B.Tech courses: Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject. The candidate should have obtained at least 75% aggregate marks (or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards) in their qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum aggregate marks required are 65%.
   • For B.Arch courses: In addition to the above requirements, candidates must have also passed the qualifying examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
   • For B.Planning courses: Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
4. Number of Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts for the JEE Main exam. Candidates can appear for the exam for a maximum of three consecutive years.
5. Aadhaar Card Requirement: All candidates, except those from Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Assam, are required to provide their valid Aadhaar card details during the application process. However, alternate identification options are available for candidates from these three states.

Fee Payable: 

Procedure of filling the JEE Main Application form

Candidates are required to fill in the Application Form carefully. No amendments will be permitted once the Application Form is completed and submitted.

Note: More than one Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted and will lead to the cancellation of his/her result.

• The application window for Session 2 will be opened again Examination for Session 2 will be the last Examination for the JEE (Main) – 2023.

If a candidate wants to apply for Session 2 also, the candidate can log in and pay the Examination Fee for Session 2 during the same period.

• The fee has to be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable from the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator.
• The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form for each session will be visible to the candidate only after the submission  of the fee by the Candidate. In case the Confirmation Page is not visible after payment of the fee, then the candidate may have to approach the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway  for ensuring the successful payment or to obtain the refund of duplicate /multiple payments if any.
  1. Candidates must read  the Instructions carefully and completely (including how to fill up the Application Form online) given clearly in the Information Bulletin available on the NTA Website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily rejected or disqualified.
  2. Candidates shall apply for JEE (Main) – 2023 Session 2 through the “Online” mode only. The Application Form in any other mode will not be valid and accepted

• 4.   Instructions for filling Online Application Form:

  Follow the undermentioned steps given below to Apply Online:

  Step 1: Registration Form:

  Register on the Online Application Form and take down the system-generated Application Number.

  The candidate must give the required details while filling the Online Application Form and must also  create a PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer.

  After successful submission of all the correct personal details, an Application number will be generated and it will be required to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future reference/correspondence.

  This application number will also be required for both Sessions of JEE (Main) – 2023. For all the subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system- generated Application Number and created Password.

  Step 2: Application Form:

  The Candidates can log in with the system-generated Application Number and pre-created Password for completing the Application Form including filling up the subsequent personal details, while applying for the Paper, while choosing the Examination Cities,  while providing the details of Educational Qualifications, and while uploading the images and documents (if any).

  Upload all Scanned Images of the Candidate’s Photograph, Signature, Address Proof (Present and Permanent), Category Certificate (if applicable), and PwD Certificate (wherever it is applicable):
