Registration for admission to nursery, KG, and class 1 in private schools for general category students will commence on 23 November 2023. According to a Directorate of Education notification, the last date to submit admission forms is December 15. Private schools have confirmed that there will be no changes to the rules this time, and the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines regarding the age of entry in Class I and the starting of Balvatika have not been included. The first list will be published on 12 January 2024.

Age relaxation for admission of up to 30 days may be granted at the level of the head of school in the minimum and upper-age limits for these classes.
