Rashtriya Military Schools Admission: Rashtriya Military Schools , also known as RMS, are a network of military schools in India. These schools are operated under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The primary aim of Rashtriya Military Schools is to prepare young students for a career in the Indian Armed Forces. The Rashtriya Military Schools admission application can be submitted from September 18 to October 25, 2023.  Registration for the 9th class girl cadets will begin from November 13, 2023, at 10 a.m. and continue until November 23, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. RMS Common Entrance Test is conducted for admission to classes 6 and 9. RMS schools are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offer education from Class 6 to Class 12.

Rashtriya Military Schools Eligibility Criteria

RMS in Class VI Eligibility Criteria

  • Be Indian nationals.
  • Be between the ages of 10 and 12 years on March 31st of the year of admission.
  • Have passed Class 5 from a recognized school.

RMS in Class IX Eligibility Criteria

  • Be Indian nationals.
  • Be between the ages of 13 and 15 years on March 31st of the year of admission.
  • Have passed Class 8 from a recognized school.

Rashtriya Military School Admission Process 2024

Written Test: An OMR-based written exam is conducted for class VI and IX. The medium of the paper is bilingual (Hindi and English) for Class VI and only English of Class IX.

Interview: Students who qualify the exam will be called for an interview at RMS. The marks of the interview will be added to the written test score to prepare a merit list.

Result & Medical Test: Merit list of successful candidates and the school allotment will be announced. All the students will go through a medical fitness test and students found medically unfit will not be admitted.

Rashtriya Military Schools Admissions 2024 – Syllabus for Class IX

  • There will be two papers in the Class 9 entrance test. Both papers will be of 100 marks each.

  • Both papers will be objective in nature.

  • The questions will be asked from English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Hindi. To prepare for the same, students can refer to the NCERT Books for Class 8.
