About CTET 2023

As per the contents of sub-section (1) of Section 23 of the Right to Education Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 and 29th JULY, 2011 had  given the minimum requirements for an individual to be eligible for the appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII. It had been laid down that one of the essential requirements for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in Clause (n) of section 2 of the Right to Education Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.

The reasoning behind including TET as a minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher is as under:

  1. To standardize the national selection process and bring in quality teachers in the educational system;
  2. To facilitate students to take up these national standards and provide quality teachers in the primary school level
  3. To lay emphasis that government is serious about the quality of teachers being selected for the schools

The Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has given the responsibility of organizing the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi (CBSE).

Candidates must only refer to authentic Text Books and syllabus suggested by NCTE for preparation in area of education .The conduct of the exam is fair and transparent, passing CTET 2023 is purely on merit, capability and sincere preparation through authentic Text Books.
